Why an engineer-led owner’s representative
Most of the cost of owning a yacht comes after delivery. Decisions made at specification stage — equipment choice, access for maintenance, spares commonality, monitoring and automation — decide how reliable the yacht is and how much it costs to run for the next twenty years. We review those decisions as the people who will have to live with them.
What is not included
We do not negotiate build contracts as legal counsel and we do not take on design authority. Naval architecture, legal advice and class approval remain with the specialists who carry those responsibilities.
Indicative pricing. Site supervision at €850 per day or €3,900 per week, plus travel at cost. Technical Director on site at €950 per day. See all prices.
Questions owners and captains ask
When should we appoint an owner’s representative?
Ideally before the build contract is signed, so the specification and maker’s list can be reviewed while changes are still cheap.
Do you take commission from the yard?
Never. We are paid only by the owner. See our no-commissions pledge.
